Echofluxx is a 5-day festival of composer-filmmaker presented new music and media art at the Trafačka Arena in Prague, The Czech Republic, from July 12-16th. The performance space, once a regional power plant, is one of the last remaining rough alternative venues in Prague. The "echo" portion of the festival title is derived from the extreme reverberant nature of the structure, with the "fluxx" portion pointing to a fluxes philosophy which underpins the curatorial predisposition Efemera--one which embraces sonic opaqueness in preference to the transparent perfection of traditional venues.
Echofluxx is supported by in-kind gifts from Trafačka, CAS/FAMU, HAMU, Kytary, and the Visegrad Fund.
Produced by Efemera of Prague, Dan Senn and Anja Kaufmann - co-directors,
Stanislav Abrahám - Technical Director
